This year, I made the decision that my students needed to understand how to average as well as take part in our online activities. In the end, students love power! So I made a decision to post job opportunities for positions such as blog and discussion thread moderator as well as peer editors and tutors. First, I created a Google Form to entice them.
Then, I described how these are well-sought and privileged after positions. Soon, students were typing on the iPads furiously, wanting to be the first to apply. My kids are so awesome! But after I ceased laughing, I realized the hard part, just how many out of the 45 people who applied should I pick? Do you offer leadership positions in your course?
