A day in my pouch is some blog posts showing just what a typical daily menu looks like in my own post weight loss surgery world. Breakfast: Fresh Farmer’s Market Berries and a dollop of Ricotta mozzarella cheese. I sweetened the ricotta with a little Sugar Free Torani Syrup (or a drizzle of honey or agave is nice too if you can do those.) I love Ricotta.
Nice amount of proteins and you can go sweet or savory with it. It had been a big lifesaver for me in those early months post weight loss surgery. I’ve had a gnarly headache for a couple of days. It’s all allergy related, I believe. As I sat on the terrace I possibly could see contaminants flying through the air. I did breakdown and take a Benadryl yesterday it helped a bit but those ideas are like cookies if you ask me and I had been useless the rest of the day therefore I am seeking to just suffer through it.
Lunch: Italy satisfies Mexico. I made a Pizza Quesadilla: Mission Card Balance WHOLE WHEAT GRAINS Fajita Size Tortilla, chopped up tomato, pepperoni, mozzarella, sauteed till fantastic and gooey. I think I might do tomato sauce rather than fresh tomato next time I make this. It had been delicious but messy to consume, tomato slices wanted to slip out.
Dinner: Our Cinco de Mayo Feast. The headache still hasn’t eliminated completely, so I was glad I put picked up that Chicken Asada from Trader Joe’s I blogged about a while back. It’s fully prepared so just needs to be nuked for 3 minutes. While it was heating, I sauteed a 1/2 of a yellow onion, added a can of cannelini beans I drained and rinsed, chopped up the Chicken Asada, and tossed everything collectively.

It says it serves 2 on the box but cut up like I do it a family group of 4 could make a ton of tacos with it and everything is well given. 5.99 it’s proteins packed cheap meal deal. If you have a TJ’s in town drop it in your cart the next time.
Last night I had BBQ’d some fresh corn till it was slightly fantastic. When it was cool enough to handle I removed the kernels from the cob and put it in a box in the fridge. For our Cinco de Mayo feast, the corn got reheated for a minute sprinkled with Cotija cheese (Elote style) and a press of lime.
I also made just a little fresh guacamole to go with. I believe the whole food took 20 minutes since most of it was a reheat job. A dollop was eaten by me of every. I made another one of those Fauxchata Horchata Protein Shakes I posted the other day. This time around I managed to get a far more elegant and added No Glucose Added Homemade Whipped Cream little.
I miss putting on a bathing suit and not shrieking. I went to Dr when I tried to break up a dog scuffle. My finger was contaminated. Obviously the first rung on the ladder was the range. I acquired on and she places it at 150. 200 Then. Then she looked at me with a strange look and put it on 250. Ding ding ding. We have a winner. The words that she said next I believe will change my life.
I thought she was crazy. Who was simply she to state that? I put fulfilled her never. I acted like I was interested as she was telling me about her bariatric surgeon and how great he is, about how exactly it was a very important thing she did ever, and exactly how happy she is. But I had been just shocked by her a reaction to my weight really. So, on the way home I called my mom to tell her, still in disbelief. At work the next day I told my co-worker.
